From the A470 at Dolgellau, take the A493 turning towards Twyn & the Fairbourne heritage railway. After about 2km you’ll see a small turning on your right signed ‘Abermaw Barmouth Toll.’ Take that lane, past the National Park car park for about 50 metres, before bearing left down the Mawddach trail.
